1 - Bodymaster Vision: Can a pregnant woman safely use Bodymaster Vision ?

Yes, measurement is entirely safe, but the results will be meaningless, as the bay's weight cannot be isolated.

2 - Bodymaster Vision: Does the measurement take into account the fat in the abdomen ?

Yes, because Bodymaster Vision measures the lean mass, and, by subtracting it fom the weight, gives the fat mass which includes all fat wherever it may be.

3 - Bodymaster Vision: What happens if I weigh myself with my clothes on?

Bodymaster Vision adds the weight of your clothes to the weight of the fat mass.

4 - Bodymaster Vision: What happens if I weigh myself with wet feet?

It’s not dangerous, only the measurement may be out, which is why you are recommended to weigh yourself with your feet dry or only slightly damp.

5 - Bodymaster Vision: Why can't children be measured?

At this time, the measurement is not accurate for children, even using professional methods, owing to variations in the amount of water in the body and different sizes during the growing phase.
The only reliable method is still analysis of weight according to height.

6 - Bodymaster Vision: Why does Bodymaster Vision do not express body composition as a percentage of fat?

The percentage can be deceptive. If you are on a diet and lose nothing but water the percentage fat goes up, although the fat mass remains the same.

So, for example, if you weigh 50 kg and you have 10 kg of fat mass, your fat rate is 20%. Then you lose 2 kg of water and your weight drops to 48 kg, but you still have 10 kg of fat mass because what you have lost is lean mass. On the other hand, your fat rate has gone up to nearly 21% (10/48x100).

7 - How do I change the weight from metric (kg) to imperial (pounds and ounces)?

Most of the latest models have a small switch situated in the battery compartment.
If this is not the case in your scales, please check your instructions or call us.

8 - When should I weigh myself?

Always weigh yourself at the same time, preferably first thing in the morning: in fact the weight of a person varies remarkably during the course of a day according to their diet, digestion and physical activity.

9 - Why do my scales give different readings each time I stand on them?

The battery is probably running low. Change the battery.
If the problem persists, please call your local TEFAL Consumer Service (Contacts section).

10 - Why is it important to always use the same bathroom scales when weighing yourself?

Common standards allow for slight calibrating margins of error when manufacturing scales. Such differences are found when comparing various bathroom scales. Therefore, you should always use the same scales under the same conditions in order to accurately keep track of your weight changes.
